Work for us
The role of a Computer Driving™ Instructor
Our Instructors are known as Computer Driving™ Instructors. They structure their instruction around the needs and skills of the user and encourage hands-on learning from day one.
Computer Driving™ Instructors are at the heart of the Computer Sharing Centre's unique approach to computer tuition.
We believe one-to-one tuition with an experienced, patient instructor by your side is much easier and more effective than attending an external training course with an unfamiliar trainer. This is one of the reasons why the tuition offered at our Computer Sharing Centres is so popular.
All of our Instructors are formally trained to ensure learners use the keyboard right from the start of their first lesson. This approach is essential to ensuring learners ‘do the tasks’ themselves – practising and repeating these at their own pace until they become confident users. Our Instructors keep the lessons simple, give practical advice in jargon-free language and above all make learning fun.

Why become an Instructor?
They say that experience is the mother of wisdom. In our opinion, there’s no better way to gain experience of how to use your computer effectively than by explaining how to do so to someone else.
Working as an Instructor enables you to not only understand how a computer works, but also how to get the most out of it. The more you use your computer, the better you get, and by sharing your knowledge and skills, you can help those who are less confident or daunted by technology become competent computer users.
As a Computer Driving Instructor, you will benefit from:
- Access to our library of training guides and posters
- Excellent pay
- Flexible working hours
- Work/life balance
- The satisfaction of teaching people a skill for life
